Z czasem ich ataki stały się coraz groźniejsze, a zwarta defensywa, zorganizowana przez mieszkańców tej części obiektu, z czasem została silnie przetrzebiona. Gracz rozpoczyna rozgrywkę od przejęcia kontroli nad jednym z młodych mieszkańców VDNH, który ma za zadanie przedostać się do legendarnego Polis, centralnej części metra, powiadomić tamtejszych mieszkańców o zbliżającym się niebezpieczeństwie i jednocześnie poprosić o wsparcie nadwątlonych linii obrony. Oczywiście podróż do serca schronu nie jest usłana fiołkami, nie wspominając już o różach - na każdym kroku czyhają bowiem niebezpieczeństwa, gwarantujące potencjalnemu graczowi nieprzerwanie szybką akcję w podziemnych tunelach moskiewskich.
